Google shuffles result?

Observed a big jump of ranking for my targeted keywords in Google.   Not so sure if G was trying to shuffle the results and test the click-through rates.  It was an unusual flux for me compared to what I usually see.   Thought?   Did you experience the same for your niche?  I am wondering if I guess the right thing, and how often would it be.

Official: Global Rollout of Google +1

{lang: 'ar'}
Button up

Image via Wikipedia

Google has moved a step forward to compete with facebook. Unsurprisingly, Google has pushed the +1 button internationally but I still haven’t seen the button on google.hk.  For now, the Google +1 is only available in Google UK, DE, JP and FR and as suggested by G, it will expand quickly to most other search sites soon after.

Anyway I can see Google is creating new job opportunity for “+1 builders”  :) .

Why google is a woman?

{lang: 'ar'}
Who Is Wonder Woman?

Image via Wikipedia

There are several reason why I think Google is a woman.

  • Women are always too self-centered. The recent Panda update tells Google has her own definition of what ‘Good content’ is, and the webmasters need to accept and follow her standard in order to get a better search ranks.  She will penalize you if you don’t follow her standard!
  • Women are selfish. Google doesn’t like to share her algorithm to others.   Imagine, do you think women like to share their clothes with others?
  • Women needs love from others. We all love Facebook.  We think that Facebook got some good features.  We usually spend much more time on Facebook than Google, and share good articles with others there.   Apparently Miss Google envy FB, so she has launched the +1 button.  She doesn’t like Twitter too, so it is the reason why they created the Google buzz.
  • Woman doesn’t like dirty things. Google doesn’t like porn and gambling sites.
  • Woman loves her children, no matter if her children were adopted (Youtube) from somewhere else.

No offense to Google.   :)

Google Analytics’ new feature – In-Page Analytics

As expected, Google has removed the crappy site overlay from Google Analytics and replaced it with a new tool called “In-Page analytics”, after they admit that “it hasn’t worked as well it could.” from the official GA blog.  With the new In-Page Analytics, you can see your Google Analytics data superimposed on your website as you browse.    You could trace the performance of individual text and image linksand also check if the said links are converting or not.  Check out the latest video:
