Author information in Search Results

Adding authorship in search results seems much easier than before.

If you want your authorship information to be shown for the content you wrote, you will first need a Google+ account with a ‘decent’ profile picture, and then verify the authorship of your account by connecting the page you created and your personal Google+ account.   Previously you will need to create a short html tag like this: <a rel=”author” href=”[Your URL]”>[Author’s name]</a>

However it seems Google has more intelligence to verify the content.   Users do not need to add that code.   It’s good because not all users are comfortable with html codings.
